Eastern Eyed Click Beetle or Eyed Elater, is a species of the Click Beetle with an elongated black body and dark swatches to defend against predators.
Eye spots are clearly seen on this Eastern-Eyed Click beetle (Alaus oculatus). This is to confuse predators into thinking something bigger is looking at them.
