Beschreibung:	In the Buddhist tradition, mountain passes are sacred and to conquer them one has to have the favor of the gods. Pilgrims have therefore to thank with offerings. This one in particular is about carefully painted little rocks, facing one of the most wonderful views of the Himalayan range. Dochu La (meaning Dochu pass) in Bhutan is at a mere (for Himalayan standards) 3200 meters above sea level but is a key connector between the valleys of the capital, Thimpu, and the lower valley of Punakha, and has magnificent views and a wonderful monument with 108 stupas -108 being a sacred number-
